Jeane Myers is a self-taught artist. She has painted for over 20 years and like many artists, her work is a personal journey.
“The work is my voice in the world. It can be different on any given day, thus my paintings become visual diaries created day by day, layer by layer. When the painting no longer speaks to me, it is time to put it aside and begin again on a new surface. There is no time limit on when a painting is finished. It can happen in a few hours, a few days, months or years.
My work is heavily influenced by nature. The changing seasons, changing light, and how nature orders itself - sowing, birth, death and the time of solitude where beginnings take place.”
Her studio is in Port Townsend, Washington on Puget Sound. The work is held in private and public collections across the United States and in Taipai, Australia and Puerto Rico.
